A note of appreciation …

“We cannot thank each and every one of you enough for the care you gave to Kay.  We couldn’t have chosen a better place for her to live.  Although she was so quiet, she always told me how well looked after she was and how much she appreciated what people did for her.

The atmosphere in Sandiway Manor is one of warmth and caring.  Every member of staff in whatever area of work, contributes to making it the cheerful and loving place it is – you should all be so proud of what you do.

Thank you so much”

The very fortunate residents of Sandiway Manor were treated to a special performance by Elvis (lookalike) who entertained with some of his best known hits recently.  Whilst most didn’t feel quite up to rock and rolling, the residents sang along and tapped their feet to his music.  Elvis was kind enough to pose with one of our ladies afterwards – oooh lucky girl!!!

Remembrance Sunday 2017

Remembering those who fought, made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives during the  two World Wars is a special time for those at Sandiway Manor.

Remembrance Corner

The residents gathered mementos and any belongings they had relating to that time and created a Remembrance Corner where other residents and guests could spend a few moments and reflect on times past.  On the day, even the area surrounding the television was decorated with patriotic Union flags which looked very appropriate as HM the Queen was watched placing her wreath at the Cenotaph.

All the decorations, including the Union flags were painted and put together by the residents.  The Manor was awash with red, white and blue and looked lovely!
